What a fun way to start the New Year; Khushi’s and mine first ever cooking class together! Perfect time of the year to cook hearty, nourishing and comforting Stews & Casseroles at The Cookery School, Little Portland Street.
Before we got into cooking, we were served baking hot cheese and herb scones (atleast that us what I think they were) – Heavenly Divine served with Wine.
Couldn’t believe how many dishes we ended up with;
- BOEUF À LA BOURGUIGNONNE
- BOLOGNESE SAUCE
- CHICKEN AL CACCIATORE (HUNTER’S CHICKEN)
- CHICKEN CASSEROLE
- LAMB TAGINE
- MIXED BEAN RAGOUT
- PLAIN BOILED RICE
– all in 3 hours!

We left with a real understanding of the foundations of and difference between Stews & Casseroles, some great cooking tips and advice plus one of the most important things (apart from cooking of course), was to eat the food at the end of the class with a glass of wine.
We had an amazing time and learned quite a few techniques. Would highly recommend it.
